privacypolicy

This policy applies to tv.lol, our APIs, and the invite-only watch room (prompts and chat). Sign-in with Google, GitHub, or Apple is handled by those providers; we only receive the account identifiers they send us (typically email).

Account. Email address is the identity. OAuth links (Google, GitHub, Apple) store a provider user id so you can sign in again. Access is invite-only; we match that email against a station allowlist.

Prompts. Overlay text for the next 30 seconds and slot time. Winning overlays may appear on the shared channel. The station keeps the cast and look; your prompt does not rewrite Ada or the recurring cast.

Chat. Messages you post in the room, tied to your account. Chat is visible to other people in the room. We show your email local-part as a handle (for example will from will@example.com), not the full address. We may switch to opaque handles later if viewers ask for stronger pseudonymity.

Technical. Session cookies; presence heartbeats and compile dry-runs require an invited session so anonymous traffic cannot fill our database. Product analytics (PostHog plus Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights) so we can see what broke and what people used. We do not sell this.

Signed-in sessions live in HTTP-only cookies (Auth.js). They are how we know it is you.

We use Neon (database), Vercel (hosting), PostHog (product analytics), and Ada (video generation for minutes that air). Those vendors see only what they need to run that job.

The station is invite-only. Overlays may air on the stream for people in the room. Chat in the room is visible to invited viewers there. Do not put secrets in prompts or chat.

Prompt records remain as needed to run the room and keep a short history of what aired. Chat in the room is live only; we do not keep it in the database. If you ask us to delete your account we anonymize the email, drop OAuth links, and detach ownership where we can.

Email us to request deletion or a privacy question.

Interdimensional Television is not directed at children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under 13.

Material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continued use after that date is acceptance of the update.
